Jola was a joy to work with on this shoot. I was and still am so incredibly pleased with the shots we got on this day. I had scouted the location beforehand- noting the plain wall and nearby park as good spots, but we had no real plan for the theme of the shoot. Jola needed some simple portfolio pieces and I was happy to be led by her.
Usually the first 10-20 minutes of my shoots are about getting comfortable with eachother and warming up the camera, but with Jola this took about 5 minutes. The shots we got against the white wall were the first we took, I was surprised by how wonderfully striking they were.
Moving into the park we found a black sign that I wanted to use as a background for some simple headshots, at this point I hadn’t used my lens filter much so brought it out; what I did not expect was the wonderful tree reflection affect. We both got very excited at seeing the shots we were getting so had lots of fun at this location too.
